Allergies – Much like humans, dogs are also prone to allergies. Diabetes – Dogs are often spoiled through fat, cholesterol heavy and unhealthy dog treats. Too much intake of these foods would result to pancreatic issues or risks them to have diabetes. To avoid diabetes, take care of your dog’s diet and make sure that his nutrition is kept in check. Keep in mind that when your dog has diabetes, regular insulin shots will cost you a lot of money. Prevention is always the best solution for this.
Arthritis and Dysplasia – Dogs have a complex bone and joint structure which makes them susceptible to certain joint and bone injuries. Giving a healthy dose of vitamin C will help them form stronger bones. Regular exercise will also help them avoid other joint-related injuries as well.
Obesity – Having a healthy dog is a luxury but when they become obese then this becomes an issue. Regular exercise and proper diet should also be practiced with dogs or else you will be risking their lives for such an unhealthy lifestyle. Try walking them around the house every now and then rather than leave them sulking in a corner for the rest of the day. Much like humans they need to burn off unnecessary fats too.
